Why more Ukrainians are flying through Chișinău
Since the start of the war, Ukraine's airspace has been closed to civilian flights. Residents of Odesa and the Odesa region increasingly choose the nearest operating international airport — Chișinău. For those travelling by their own car, the main question isn't the ticket, but where to leave the car for the duration of the trip.
The road from Odesa and its drawback
The road from Odesa to Chișinău passes through Tighina (Bender) — VIPark AERO is located on the same approach, right at the entrance to the city. The problem is that many drivers, out of habit, continue on into central Chișinău and then drive all the way back to the airport — an unnecessary detour, lost time in city traffic, and the risk of missing a flight.
VIPark AERO — a stop right at the city entrance
VIPark AERO is located on the Chișinău–Tighina road, at the entrance to the city — there's no need to drive into the centre. Leave your car on secured premises, and a transfer will take you to the terminal in 5–7 minutes. On your return, a phone call brings your car back to meet you.
One guest wrote in a Google review:
"I especially liked the location — if you're coming from the Odesa direction, it's just perfect. VIPark AERO is right on the Odesa–Chișinău road, at the entrance to Chișinău. No need to drive through the whole city and make an unnecessary detour."
